Margaret Kuneyl OTR/L Lead Therapist earned her Occupational Therapy degree in 1998. Since then she has worked in the field of pediatrics in a variety of settings including school system, pediatric inpatient hospital, outpatient clinic, and home based/early intervention. She continues to develop her learning base by attending education classes in the areas of sensory integration, auditory programs, feeding/oral motor, vision, and visual motor/visual perceptual techniques. She has her certification in Sensory Integration and the administration of the SIPT. She is also trained in the use of therapeutic listening. This experience and determination allows Margaret to lead our team of therapists with an intense yet effective approach to therapy that is certain to benefit your child both today and for years to come.
Melissa Ford MS, OTR/L recently earned her Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from Brenau University. She has clinical experience in outpatient hospital and home-based / early intervention. She is currently seeking certifications in aquatic therapy and sensory integration. Other interests include therapeutic listening, feeding / oral motor, and Hippotherapy.
Lindsey Willis MS, OTR/L was born and raised in the state of Georgia. She completed her bachelor’s and master’s degree in Occupational Therapy at Brenau University. She has had a love for children with special needs since a young age. Lindsey specializes in sensory integration, handwriting, and feeding.
Stacee Vickers PT earned her physical therapy degree in 1995 from Georgia State university. Immediately following graduation, she worked for a large hospital providing physical therapy in an acute care setting focusing on neurology and wound care. For the past 14 years, Stacee has worked in various pediatric settings including inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient clinics, and home based therapy.
Cindy Elrick MS, OTR/L began working with children in second grade when she would use her recess time to read to kindergarten students. Cindy began the occupational therapy program at Brenau University in 2005, and graduated with a bachelor’s and master’s degree in science. She preformed her last fieldwork at Peach State Pediatric Therapy and fell in love with the facility and staff. Peach State was extremely happy to offer her a position as an occupational therapist, and to have her join our team of professionals. Cindy thoroughly enjoys her profession and often spends her free time reading and learning about the newest and latest theories and interventions for special needs children.
Kristen Basham MS, OTR/L earned her Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from Brenau University in 2004. Following graduation, she worked at a large pediatric hospital providing outpatient occupational therapy services for children with a wide range of abilities and diagnoses. She joined Peach State Pediatric Therapy in 2010. Kristen specializes in Sensory Integration, Therapeutic Listening, and Handwriting. She has been certified in Therapeutic Listening and Handwriting Without Tears. She continues to expand her knowledge in these and other areas through self study and continuing education.
Lindsay Kershaw MS, OTR/L recently earned her Master's degree in occupational therapy from Brenau University. She has enjoyed working with children from a young age and fell in love with Occupational Therapy while doing volunteer work at a pediatric clinic in 2005. Lindsay enjoys working in the areas of sensory integration, feeding, vision, and handwriting.
Victoria Couture MS OTR/L graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 1992 Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy and a minor in Spanish. Since then she has worked primarily in pediatrics (including inpatient, outpatient, school system, early intervention, home based therapy and NICU), with ages ranging from neonatal to 21. Victoria is certified in therapeutic listening and has completed a year long advanced feeding course. Other courses have focused on behavior, sensory integration, handwriting, and memory. She speaks intermediate Spanish and elementary sign language. Victoria has two daughters who will both be in high school next year. She says that being a mother helped her have a true understanding of parenting struggles and become a much better therapist.
Andrea Kelley Office Manager is originally from Fredericksburg, Virginia. She moved to Georgia with her husband and special needs son in 2006. Margaret became her son’s Occupational therapist shortly after the move. In 2008, her son passed away, but her love of special needs children grew. In April 2009, she and her husband adopted a beautiful baby girl. Andrea is fluent in American Sign Language and is a certified medical transcriptionist. In her spare time she likes watching moves and going to the pool. Andrea is one of our most valued employees, and is truly the glue that holds Peach State Pediatric Therapy together.
Bethany Bearden MS, OTR/L was raised in Macon, GA. She attended Brenau University and earned her Bachelor and Master's in Occupational Therapy. She currently works with children in a variety of settings, including outpatient clinics, home health, and a domestic violence center. She is trained in the "Astronaut Training Program". Bethany truly enjoys working with children and will continue to do so for years to come.
Todd Kuneyl General Manager after completing his education at Georgia State University, and the Ford School of Finance, began a successful 15 year career in finance, accounting, and commercial truck leasing. In early 2008, Todd sold his business only to open another, The Sensory University. Since then, the Sensory University has quickly evolved into a major player in the adaptive and special needs equipment industry, as well as a place for parents to feel confident knowing that they can purchase the same quality equipment used in their child's therapy sessions, for use at home.
