Social groups have been found to improve children's everyday interaction with their peers, as well as boost memory and attention levels by as much as 50 percent. Each group session is 1 hour long and consists of a 10 minute sensory warm up, a 40 minute activity time, and a 10 minute sensory cool down. The cost of all groups is $50.00 per child per session. Cost includes a healthy snack for each child, and materials that will be used in the group session. Please make us aware if your child has any food or drink allergies at time of sign up. Please fill out all info on the reservation form and select a date for the initial group meeting you would like your child to attend. If you would like to attend groups on a weekly basis please let one of our staff members know. Please let us know if there is a more convenient time for a group to be held for your child. We will add the time to the schedule, and if we can get it filled, we will be happy to accommodate. Group fees can be collected at time of session or billed on a monthly basis. All credit cards are accepted for social group payments. Upcoming Schedule of Events
Interactive Gaming Groups
Peach State Pediatric Therapy is proud to announce the beginning of its social gaming groups. Each game will be hand selected to not only challenge your child's mind and motor skills, but to also provide a great source of sensory input in a therapeutic environment. Creating a sense of competition with others encourages children to function on a higher level in order to succeed. This higher level of functioning with others will carry over into their everyday lives both at home and at school. As an added bonus Peach State Therapy will offer a $25 dollar gift certificate from the Sensory University Toy Company to the child who wins the game or at least gives the best effort to learn. The winner of this certificate will then get to challenge his or her mind one more time. The final challenge is deciding what they will buy from the store with their new found prize.

Arts and Crafts Groups
Arts and crafts provide children the opportunity to address sensory concerns such as sequential problem solving, timing, and social sharing and interaction. During this group children will get the opportunity to interact with their peers as they create projects from simple household objects such as egg cartons, paper bags, plates, and shoe boxes, just to name a few. At the end of the group session each child will get to bring home the masterpiece he or she has created.
Sensory Motor Adventures
Motor activities have been shown to improve attention, focus, and overall organization. During this group, children will have the chance to put their feet in motion using our state of the art facility. This activity will include the use of an indoor walking track, a commercial size indoor playground, and a 5000 square foot gross motor gym. Children will participate in obstacle courses, relays, and other motor challenges either on foot, or on one of our many self propelled ride on vehicles.
Tumbling and Floor Exercise Groups
Tumbling and floor exercise groups are intended for children with sensory processing challenges including but not limited to balance, coordination, range of motion, flexibility, and control. The class helps children work on these skills using basic principles of gymnastics and tumbling. The class also allows for social and communication development as children interact with their peers in a fun and safe environment. This class is a great source of cardiovascular development and exercise for children who may not receive adequate exercise on a daily basis. This class will be held in the main gym area of the Peach State Pediatric Therapy clinic.
