Therapeutic Listening® is an individualized method of Auditory intervention. Electronically tone altered music is administered based on the needs of the specific child being treated. The ear's direct connection to the brain and nervous system makes it one of the most important organs of the body. Hearing in general is the most important sense for a child's learning process. Our ears control balance, basic movement, and even the finest of motor skills. Imagine the ear as a gateway from our brain to the outside world. If a child's ability to listen is not well developed a series of other problems will arise. Therapeutic Listening® along with clinical therapy allows the child to open themselves to the outside world that surrounds them. As a direct result of this treatment you as a parent may notice some if not all of the following:
Improved social interaction
Increased verbal and non verbal communication skills
Overall improvement in daily attitude
Greater range of motion
Higher level of confidence
Increased sense of balance
Longer attention span
Increased ability to express emotion
Improved handwriting skills
Improved visual skills
Improved ability to navigate open and closed spaces
